Bububibi Pads 12 pack

I have done it! I have found not only the perfect size pad but they are the cheapest pads online ($3 per heavy flow pad). They are only $36 on Amazon for a batch of 12; that's right, 12 pads! They come in 6 solid colors which you get 2 each. They are a quite soft and comfortable And hold up to heavy flow! Yet these are thin and comfy enough to wear as backup to a cup or even a panty liner. I've used these on my heaviest days with no leaks. And ive used them for liners too... LOVE them! There Is a waterproof bottom to put your fears to rest. They are 10" long and 2.5-3 at the gusset where they snap. Then they fold up into beautiful little envelopes when carrying fresh ones with you and you fold them back up until you can soak them to throw into the wash.  And taken care of they stay looking great wash after wash. There is no better deal around for pads!  Order them with confidence! They are even a great replacement for Poise incontinance type pads. Absolutely the "Mia Award" for best value and best buy!!!

to buy. Get several sets for the price! You won't be sorry!!!

Lunette Cup & Cup Wash

 Trying to Conceive Ticker

Yesterday the good people at Lunette decided to give me a Model 1 cup to try out.  So far so good.  I'm not sure about the shape yet being used to the rim on my beloved Fleurcup!  But it will take some more time before I can get a real feel for this cup.  I'll tell you one thing, the crafty folks at Lunette sure care about their packaging and presentation of the cup.  It is an adorable luttle box with a flower and opens up with your cup sitting on top of your satin pouch.  Very nice,,,me likey.  And I am getting used to the V shape versus the U shape Fluercup.  I believe I will end up using them both interchangeably.

Now for the other Lunette products.  Lunette has a wonderful cup wash that smells of lemongrass and eucalyptus,,,mmmmm.  It certainly makes your hands AND your cup smell amazing!  Lunette also has cup wipes. but then your cup smells of alcohol and that is just distasteful to me so I'll stick to my cup wash and keep the wipes for emergencies only.  BTW you can get a bug box of alcohol wipes of 200 for only $8 when you only get 10 Lunette wipes for $5.  You can save some major dinero that way.

At Feminine Wear online you can get separate Lunette pouches which is nice when you have a rouge cup or two and need to reign them into a safe new home.

Overall, I like Lunette, but it remains to be seen if they are worth all this hype about their cups.  My Juju cups should come in soon and well see how Lunette measures up.  But, by all means go for the cup wash!  It smells simply divine.  Thank-you, Lunette, for a lovely smelling cup wash!!!  And for a well made cup.

Talulah Bean Pads

While I'm not the world's best expert in all the cloth menstrual pads out there I do know one thing, I LOVE Talulah Bean's pads!  Talulah bean was started in 2009 by founder Erica Libenow because of her love of sewing and crafting.  And now WE are the blessed ones because the line of pads they produce are very good quality and did I mention so comfy I'd be lost without my pantyliner from them?  They have a line of "minky" pads that are so simply devine that if it were chocolate I'd be bathing in it!  I have one of their minky bean liners and I love it so much that I wash it by hand at night so I'll have it in the morning.  And it feels better than coffee tastes in the morning!

Now look at all these cute prints!  And not only are the pads cute, but even the light and moderate pads are surprisingly absorbent for how thin they are.  They use a variety of materials for their pads.  Some are minky topped, cotton organic topped both with an organic cotton thirsty core, or bamboo velour with a bamboo inner core.  All the pads come with a moisture resistant anti-pill fleece backing.  This is the first company (I've seen) that a second set of snaps to adjust width with the gusset of your panties don't cost extra.  Thanks Erica!!!

Well I believe that in the next 5 years Talulah Bean will grace the bathroom floors of females everywhere!  Well, at least when your teen leaves her Bean on your bathroom or her bedroom floor she can say she was contributing to the decor! LOL!

Thank you to Erica Libenow, the founder of Talulah Bean and all of the WAHM's that contribute their talents to this beautifully done line of pads and accessories!

Go there today and get some of those minky pads yourself and you'll see what I'm gushing over!

Lunapads

At this point I have just a few cloth pads to my name and being that Lunapads teamed up with AFRIpads for their "One for Her" program I had to try Lunapads first.  That program ensures that for every pad for you that you purchase, be it throught the Lunapads site, through Amazon or Drugstore.com a pad is given to a schoolgirl in Africa.  One for you, "One for Her"...Brilliant!

Lunapads are constructed of two separate pieces. One is the pad base that is water resistant. This piece wraps around your panties with a snap and has a top and bottom piece of elastic to hold the inserts in place (the second part of the pad). Now I think this is an ingenious way of making pads! Not only will Lunapads contribute a pad to Afripads with each pad purchase, but you save money in the long run as well because you don't have to buy 30 pads.

With this system you can wear the same pad base all day (comfortably, I might add) while changing out the inserts when they become filled.  When I got my Lunapad I got a used postpartum pad with the postpartum inserts.  The inserts seem thin upon first inspecting but are surprisingly thirsty, even for someone with a very heavy flow.  Good for my daughter for sure! I thought that with her sensitive skin she would be bothered by the elastics but they don't bother her at all.

A great pad system for a good price and a good cause! You surely can't beat that!

As my Dad would say "I love it when a plan comes together"! Here the first picture was in Tanzania when a group of rural schoolgirls were given their menstrual kits. One lovely young girl was moved to tears at the time. Amazing stories, huh?!

There in the third picture is a information booth to teach about AFRIpads. There was a lot of interest.

Please give today by donating on this site (it costs $7 per menstrual kit), purchasing Lunapads (or Moxie pads)  and remember no amount is too little. It is easy to be thankful when we have so much here in America!!

Donate to Afripads!

I love my position being able to use and review different reusable menstrual products for my reading crowd, but their is another passion I have that is related to that; Afripads. Afripads is a social business thats main goal is to provide RUMP to african girls so they may be able to continue their education while on their period and participate in social life in a more normal way.  They also provide jobs to disadvantaged women in villages in Africa by employing them in their workplaces making the pads.  I support the vision and mission of Afripads and I hope you will too by using the Paypal Donation option at the bottom of my blog so that you too can be a part of the solution for these young girls and women who need the employment!  I embedded a video about Afripads on the bottom of the blog for you to watch to learn more and you can also go to their site to learn even more.

AFRIPADS
A monthly challenge, a sustainable solution.

Please donate today. Even a dollar is not too little to give!  :)
